Biography

What’s in a name? A Balcony Scene is a five-piece pop rock band based in Glasgow, Scotland.

With its origins rooted firmly in the founding member’s hometown Falkirk, the band as a whole honed their sound and song writing abilities whilst playing in various local acts during their late teenage years. This progression in both musicianship and song arrangement can be heard on their debut release, Why We Move EP, which was successfully launched in front of a packed ABC2 in Glasgow.

With influences ranging from contemporary artists who feature on the cover pages of popular music publications to the unsung local heroes of the Scottish music scene, A Balcony Scene strive to create a sound that is instantly recognisable whilst remaining fresh and exciting to the listener.

2012 will see the release of their second, yet to be named EP accompanied by a range of new merchandise and a string of tour dates across the whole United Kingdom.
