My name is Ashley Sullivan, I am the lead vocalist and front man for Birmingham's most exciting new band ASK ALFIE, we are a band fusing indie, hip hop and pop together. We have done a lot in the little time we have been together including headline slots at HMV, O2 Birmingham, and loads of other live gigs in and out of Birmingham, Played a live lounge for BBC "introducing" wm , and been put forward by BBC'S Louise Brierley (BBC INTRODUCING) to play at Glasto on the BBC "introducing" stage. We have been approached by many independent labels but none of whom could do anything more that what we could do ourselves. We are due to feature in Ernest Jones / H Samuel / Leslie Davis monthly magazine 27th Feb 2012, which goes out to near 10,000 readers. Write up by Kerrang writer Caroline Bevan : There is something very cheeky about Ask Alfie. They are borrowing a bunch of musical juice from a range of genres riding high in the charts right now, with a smirk and a smile - knowing damn well Joe Public won't be able to resist the resulting concoction. From the perky Jamie-T-esque Karaoke, with the additional electro beats and an indie vibe to the Coldplay - meets -Plan B ballad Awkward Love - Ask Alfie has absolutely nailed the musical tastes of 2011, ticking all the right boxes and tipping their hat to all the right people. The patchwork of styles and tastes works perfectly - never sounding thrown together or messy, and he deftly overlays one sound with something equally exciting. With The Streets bowing out in style earlier this year, there is a vast Mike Skinner - shaped hole in music right now, it'd be great to see Ask Alfie fill those shoes. MUST LISTEN
