Biography

“Don’t expect the norm of this foursome, because the sound they produce is dramatic yet wonderfully unexpected. Shattering the conventions of today’s repetitive alternative music scene is Hartlepool based 4 piece ‘Boundaries’. The band comprises of Tom Watson (bass/vocals), James Bradley (guitar/electronics/vocals), Colin Shout (guitar) and Michael Murphy (drums/vocals). With a eclectic mixture of influences, ranging from the intricate clever style of Biffy Clyro to the older raucous din of Architects, this band have developed their own fresh sound. ‘Boundaries’ have honed a style which caters for those who seek to find something innovative and unexpected in music. The ‘Boundaries’ sound is a skilfully chaotic mixture of experimental, alternative, hardcore and metal, creating a captivating kind of new music.. ‘Boundaries’ have played a range of gigs, having supported names such as ‘Brontide’ and ‘Shapes’. They recently had their radio debut on Bob Fischer’s new music show on BBC Tees. The difficulty to pin down a specific style proves that the sound of this band not only breaks, but destroys the boundaries of conventional music\"
