Biography

Dendera are the South’s prime Heavy Metal act, combining the classic ‘NWOBHM’ sound with an aggressive modern edge. The 5 piece act from Portsmouth line up features Ashley Edison on vocals, Stephen Main and Tony Fuller on lead guitars, Bradley Edison on bass and Andy Finch on drums.

\\\"Killer riffs. Sick vocals, you lot have a future!!\\\" (Bill Steer – Carcass, Gentlemans Pistols)

Dendera released their debut EP ‘We Must Fight’ in October 2011. Full of pounding drums, massive riffs, epic vocals and a keen sense of melody to deliver their own brand of Heavy Metal. The self released EP is available now from retailers including Amazon & iTunes. Terrorizer magazine featured the EP’s first single ‘Bridges Will Burn’ on the December issue Fear Candy CD, tipping the band as one to watch in 2012.

“At ease with the growing audience, all talented musicians with an eye for melody, these guys have a bright future” (East Hampshire online)

The last year has seen the band performing along side acts including The Sword, Taking Dawn, Inmoria and Kobra and the Lotus aswell as playing their own Headline shows. Their intense, high energy live show demonstrates the bands dedication to give their fans a true live experience that makes them come back for more every time. With their reputation as a live band and ever growing fan base 2011 was a fantastic year for Dendera.

“Dendera has all the energy of a young Def Leppard and the prowess of early Iron Maiden. They are the modern embodiment of the spirit of the NWOBHM, and fucking pleasure rock with live. Talented beyond their years” ( Chris Babbitt – Taking Dawn)

2012 is turning into an exciting year for Dendera and it hasn’t even started yet! With a tour planned, supporting acts including Scottish Pirate metallers Alestorm, Thrash act Havok, Power Quest and continuing to promote their EP. Dendera will continue to work hard to deliver their promise to bring back the sound of classic Heavy Metal.

Influences

We believe in the true sound of NWOBHM! The true from of heavy metal. But we take influence from bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Black Sabbath! NWOBHM all the way! \m/
