Biography

"The Beacons are edgy, imaginative and exciting. They have the funk, and a lot of other things too. They're great." David Quantick, Uncut Magazine. "The Beacons are a vibrant and versatile young band who sound great performing an unplugged, acoustic set and who really come alive when they're given access to a power supply! Their music is fun and energetic. Give them a listen!" John Govier, BBC Radio Devon Hailing from Exmouth, Devon, The Beacons formed in early 2010. Taking influences from artists such as Kasabian and The Coral has led the band to create an energetic, catchy and fresh sound that hooks the audience at every show. Relentless gigging and appearances on the major southwest radio stations has resulted in an army of loyal fans. Recent support slots with Billy Bragg, Little Comets, Canterbury and The Swellers have given the band a larger platform to perform their music. In the near future The Beacons sights are set on a national tour as well as a new recording project with leading southwest studio Deep Blue Sound.
