Biography

Forming late in 2010, Brighton-based Tyrannosaurus Dead quickly discovered their compatibility as a unit. Billy Lowe (vocals & guitar), Eleanor Rudge (vocals), Martin Edwards (guitar), Tom Northam (bass) and Rupert Willows (drums) immediately set to work on creating a melodic and fuzzed sound that's not quite like any other band but retains a warm and familiar feel owing to the amalgam of their strong Dinosaur Jr, The Jesus & Mary Chain and Sonic Youth influences (amongst others). Wasting no time, Tyrannosaurus Dead set upon a string of successful local gigs in their formative Brighton supporting the likes of Shrag, The Growlers (US), Fear of Men and Standard Fare whilst planning their debut release, simply titled 'Tyrannosaurus Dead EP'.

The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Black Tamborine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, Belle and Sebastian, The Cure, The Wedding Present, Yo La Tengo, Sebadoh, The Amps...
